Story added: 2011-07-16
I found out in September, 2010 that i was pregnant, and everything was going good up until the 7th week in when i started bleeding. I thought i was having a miscarriage but i wasn't. I bled every month up until i delivered. At 19 weeks i found i was having a boy and when i saw his little self on the sonogram i nearly cried. One day i was home from work and i felt this big gush of warm fluid and i went to the bathroom to find that my pants were covered in blood. I was only 22weeks 6 days and i was petrified. I knew my son wouldn't survive that early. My fiance took me to the hospital and i found out my fluid was low and i had to stay there overnight. The next day i was transferred to a different hospital with a NICU. i was 23 weeks. I am very grateful that i went to that hospital because anywhere else wouldn't have helped me. On Sunday, January 23 i started to gush blood really bad and was told that i had to deliver my son because of the fact that i ruptured, i also had a placental abruption on top of it and he was in danger. I gave birth to him on Tuesday, January 25th 2011 at 5:19pm at 23 weeks 6 days gestation. He weighed 500 grams (1lb 2oz) and was 11 inches long. He was due in May. i was told he wouldn't survive but he did and i brought him home on may 27th. He is now a happy and healthy 5 month old (1 month corrected) despite a few surgeries and being on oxygen for the longest time (he came home without O2).
