It all started on 8/17/12. I was having bad lower back pains all day, this was common for me so far. However, towards that evening I started having contractions. I thought they were braxton hicks so I continued to cook dinner and settle down for the evening. But the contractions kept coming. Around 9pm my fiance was getting ready for work, and was trying to convince me to go to the hospital. I thought I was overreacting, plus the had slowed down quite a bit. I figured I would wait it out til the morning. During that night I had four contractions. I woke up that morning and in 2 hours I had another 4 contractions. So when my fiance came home we went to the hospital. While I was there, they told me that I was slightly dehydrated and that was what was causing me too have contraction. Ultrasound showed my baby kicking strong heartbeat 156 and full of water. They sent me home and told me to drink lots of water. So I did. On Sunday 8/19, I was having less contractions but I wasn't leaking no bleeding, everything seemed fine. I went to work, took it easy there had no contractions. I thought the water was working. Went home that evening, had a glass of chamomile tea and laid down. Around 11pm, I was awake laying in the bed and I felt an like an air bubble traveling between my legs. It felt weird but I shifted my legs, wiggle a little bit, then all of a sudden I felt a gush of fluid. I was in shock. I thought I peed myself so I started giggling and went to clean my self up but as I was walking more fluid kept coming. Then I went to clean the sheet up but as I was standing more fluid kept coming. So I started to get worried but I wanted to believe I did pee. I called my fiance told him what happened so he decided to come home. While I waited , I googled, "how do you know your water broke." Made me even more paranoid because I knew this was happening. I felt the difference between peeing and fluid coming from my vagina. When I got to the hospital they confirmed that my water had indeed broke through a vag test and an ultrasound. From there, my world started to crash. I hadn't even found out what I was having yet. Between the various test that I was having done to all the different doctors coming in, I started to feel numb. This could not be happening to me. I really wanted this baby. It was my first. I was given all possible options even abortion but it was not insisted. My doctors made me feel that it was totally my decision, they just wanted me to informed. After hearing his heartbeat avg 156 while I was there, I couldn't give up. So I went on home bed rest, with antibiotics and plenty of water. A week later, I had a level 2 ultrasound, found out it was a boy, and the fluid hadnt increased. Finally 2 weeks after I ppromed, I finally came to terms with the situation. accepted it and emotionally moved on. However, God had another plan. 9/3/12 at 2:30am I was suffering from a prolapsed umbilical cord. At 3:30am they started an ultrasound. His heartbeat was 40 bpm and by the time they were done his heart had already stopped. Wyatt Tristan Benson was given his wings on 9/3/12 at 11:29am. He was 1lb 1oz and 11.5 inches. It was out of my hands.
