By Vickie Dodds, Scotland Scotland
PROM at 21 weeksDelivery at 23 weeks + 3 days.
Story added: 2002-11-12
i have had 2 babys both normal text book pregnancys
little girls well not so little now 1 at 14 and 1 at 12.
i was pregnant with our little boy at 21 weeks and went to bed as normal no pain or nothing.
and i felt the baby kick very low down and next moment gush.
i called my husband who came home from work and took me to hospital to get checked out as i had never broke my waters with my darling daughters.
the hospital told me i had lost all water and kept me in.
i held on throughout the 2 weeks but was in lots of pain as an infection had taken hold but the baby seemed to be a fighter. much to everyones surprise.
but out of the blue when the pain left i felt the need to go to the bathroom, and his foot came out and he came breach and got stuck 3 times at the head and arms and bum but i was rushed to surgery and had him taken away which i came very close to dying as problems set in during surgery.
i had a lovely baby boy 1 lb 1onz we called him aiden.

6 moths later i was pregnant again with another dd but sadly i too had prom at 18 weeks and had her at 21 weeks.
i took septicemia and my blood did not clot so they again had to take baby away from me. she weighed 1lb 3onz and we named her shannon.
they tell us if i have another baby they will stich my cervix as to see if that helps so i feel for all who have loved and lost but all take care
