My water broke at 19 weeks. I went the hospital where they tested and said it was not amniotic fluid. They sent me home and told me to call my dr. in the morning. Morning came and I started bleeding heavily. Went back to hospital where it was confirmed prom and abruption of placenta. They kept me in local hospital on total bedrest until 22 weeks, then sent me to high risk center. The whole time leaking and bleeding.

I got shots of steroids when I arrived there and was allowed bathroom priveledges. At 27 weeks I had a total abruption and needed emergency c section. Jonathan was born at 2 lbs 8 oz with apgars of 5 and 6. 1hour later they discovered he had sepsis and was critical. He had bpd from lack of fluid, a pda and was on a respirator. They had to paralize him because he fought so hard to breathe on his own. My beautiful little boy fought so hard to live but lost his fight after 9 days. Born nov 19 1992 d nov 28 1992.

My second preemie was born jan 10 1996 at 33 weeks gestation after a prom. Was in hospital for only 3 days and then had a c section. She was born at 3lbs 14 oz and did not need any oxygen or anything. She went to step down nursery at 7 days and home at 21 days.

I thank god for my beautiful Rebeccah who at 3 years old is 41 inches tall and 36 lbs!
