My story started out like many others. All was well until week 11. I developed a headache oneday that never went away so I decided to go see my doctor. He told me that I was A ok and to go home and rest. I rested for about a week but the headache was still there so I decided that maybe it was just from being tired or whatever because my blood pressure was normal. I decided to go back to work that week in which I still felt horrible. I was on my home home from work and started to feel rather funny. Once I got in my home and laid down I had a sudden urge to go to the restroom. Once I sat on the toilet and felt a pop and heard a stream of fluid falling into the toilet with huge blood clots. I was sure I had delivered my baby in the toilet. Of course I panicked and alerted my fiancee that something terrible was happening. I had read about PROM in baby books but I never imagined that I would be an example of it. Once we got to the hospital, They checked my cervix which showed that I was in active labor. They gave me some drugs to help with the pain but they didn't work. Once I got into a private room, I went through the pain of delivering my non-viable child. It only took 3 pushes and there he was still struggling to breath. He lived for ten minutes then the angels took him away. That was the hardest thing that I have ever went through because we wanted him sooo bad. Once I delivered my son, my health started to get worse. I had developed a uterine infection somewhere along the way. I felt horrible. I had to stay in the hospital 10 on heavy antibiotics. My health got better but my heart is still broken. We never thought that anything like this would happen. I had a normal pregnancy 2 years earlier where I delivered a healthy little boy.
