On August 4,2003 at 10:05am our son Aiden was born. A day that was suppose to be a joyous day turned out to be a nightmare come true. My water broke at 7:00am that morning and I was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital it was discovered that we had a prolapsed cord and we had to make a decision. Aiden's heart rate was fluctuating due to the stress put on his cord. We chose to give him a chance at life and had an emergency c-section. We knew that at only 23 weeks his prognosis was bad but we never gave up hope that he would survive. Our dear son passed away the next morning at 1:50am. My husband and I are devastated. Aiden was our first child. He was due on our one year anniversary. We had a very trying first year of marriage but we know together we can get through this. I wish everyone who has been through such an ordeal comfort and stregnth. Good luck to everyone!
