It was a monday. I had a dr. appointment that day and was thankful of that. I had lost 2 children previously. For 2 days before my appointment, I had noticed some leakage and was almost positive my water was leaking. When I arrived at the dr. I explained what I had felt and when he checked me he said I had a low-grade infection and it could be treated with antibiotics. He warned me that I could have mild cramping due to the infection and medication. So, later that night, after I had taken the meds, I started to cramp and thought nothing of it. I laid dowm on the couch and watched the hockey game. I awoke around 12:30am just in time for my water to break. I arrived at the hospital just in time to meet my dr. All that day, up until that evening, I never had any contractions. The dr said that if the baby would stay in the womb for another 4 to 5 weeks, he would have a 50% chance of survival. My boyfriend Jerry was so great. He stayed by my side all night, day and into the next night. We cried and prayed and hoped together but no matter how much we did, that baby was not going to wait.

Around 10:00 the next night, they decided to give me an epidural/pitocen mix. At 10:54pm, my son, Ryan James, came into this world to show of his perfect self. He weighed only 12.4 ounces. He was so small but yet fighting so hard for every little breath he took. He decided to stay only a short period of time and left us at 11:15pm. Now he is my lil' angel, watching over me every step of the way.
God, please take care of my boy!
