I had the perfect pregnancy,no problems at all. When I was 31 weeks I had wetness in my underwear for 3 days. Alot actually now that I think about it. But I was on my first pregnancy and thought this was normal and never said a word to anyone even though I worked for obgyn's. I called my dr on monday after 3 days of leaking and he was awful and made me wait 2 days to come in. Then, I just thought that was the norm, that was before I was able to research what could have happen.
I went in and he said to me are you still leaking? I said yes and he said "well now im liable and i have to check you"
It showed I was leaking fluid and I was admitted to the hospital. I was given antibiotics and steriods for the lungs. I had contractions the whole time I was in the hospital but my daughter held on and stayed in even though I was still leaking. They said it resealed itself but hospital records show I still had a small leak. They send me home at 35 weeks. At 36 weeks I broke my water in full. It all came gushing out. I had my daughter 12 hours later and she was 6'5 and perfect in every way with no infection. I think about how lucky I got, I think of what could have been amd so very lucky.
I am now 27 weeks pregnant, 5 years later and praying that I dont have this happen again and yes I am seeing a new OB.
