I didn't know that I was pregnant until I was about 2 1/2 months along. The three tests that I had taken were all negative. When I finally did find out we were happy and I changed my diet and thought that I did everything right. At 18 wks. my water leaked a little, but I thought that I had peed. I went back to bed and a few hours later I gushed. I went to the hospital and was told that I needed to get induced and deliver. I chose not to and immedetly changed doctors. She said that since I was not contracting she could put me on antibiotics and bed rest and wait and see. I continued to leak a little at a time and had 10 u/s that all said fluid was ok. At 22 wks. I was put on strict bedrest at the hospital to try to hold on until 24 wks. The doctor was hoping to get to 27, but at almost 25 wks. I got an infection and had to deliver via c-section. Chloe was born at 1 lb. 3 oz. and was breathing on her own. She had oxygen and Ivs and a feeding tube but that's it. The first night she started getting bad and had high blood acid levels, jaundice, and my infection, and bleeding on the brain. Her heart just gave out and they tried to recesitate her but she couldn't stay off the machine. They called us down and let us stay with her while she passed. She was only 15 hrs. old. I feel so empty and don't understand why nobody can tell me why I couldn't carry my baby longer. They also said that I have a high chance of this happening again. Is this true?
