Story added: 2007-07-31
July 3rd 2007, I lost my baby to PROM. My pregnancy began with twins, which i was terified about. I have a daughter who is one years old and the thought of three babies at the same time scared me. Now after PROM at almost 19 weeks i look at everything differently. Noone can say the right words, or take away the pain of losing a child. When my water originally broke I rushed to the hospital hoping for bed rest. When I got to there all I recieved is hopeless news of terrible loss and devestation. I was in labor for 20 hours, I cried for the three days straight in the hospital. I could not believe the baby was gone. Everyone tried to make me feel better by saying I have my daughter. One child does not take away the loss and pain of another life. All of my post delivery reports found no infection or reason for PPROM. I am terrified to have this happen again. My doctor never told me anything about PROM or what to look for.. I never found out if the baby was a girl or a boy.. For me it is easier not to know. Each day gets a little easier, and in time I hope that the pain will go away. I have learned a lot from this site. Most importantly I learned that i am not alone in this. All of your stories have touched my heart and eased my pain of my loss. May each one of you be blessed with a healty baby and lots of happiness...
