Hi my name is susan and we just lost our little angel last thursday August 2nd. I was 18 weeks and 2 days pregnant when I was out to lunch and my water gushed out of me, to the point I was drenched. I called my Dr. immidiatly he said come right over. I was at his office 10 minutes later and he did a sono and told me all the water was gone but the baby still had a heartbeat. You all know how awful that news was to hear. Me and my husband went right to the best hospital around as per my Dr. b/c they are known for the best high risk specialists. Well when we got there EVERYONE wanted to enduce me right away. The baby was still doing great so me and my husband said no way lets give this baby a chance. Well we did. I was admitted and on bed rest for 18 days. Not allowed out of bed at all. Blood work was taken every morning at 5am to ck for infection and ultrasounds were done every other day to ck fluid levels.

After 3 days my water went up to a 4 but than down to a 1.8 a few days later. It was such a roller coaster ride. For 18 days my numbers fluctuated and never went to a 5. So everyday the high risk team would say r u ready to enduce and we always said no. We were so hopeful we had so many family and friends praying for us and we couldnt imagine god taking our baby away. Why would he, we tried for 7 years and finally it happend, how could he take it from us now.

Well on thursday august 2nd I woke up in labor. My white blood cell count was at a 18.5 (very high) and i had a high tempurture. It was the scariest and saddest day of my husbands and my life. I was in labor for 3 hours and delivered the baby stillborn.

We sat and held the baby for about 3 hrs talking to it hugging it crying w/ it and kissing it. We took so many pictures too, which I highly recommend to anyone who ever has to go through this.

We had a very intimate service for the baby and had it cremated to keep in a urn at our home w/ us foprever. We are so sad just like the rest of u that have been through this. We cant wait to try again.
Does anyone have any advice on any kind of testing that should be done or any precautions that we should take before trying agin, If so pls contact me at my email address. Thank you all for taking the time to read my story. Susan
