Story added: 2009-01-13
I woke up in the middle of the night during my 17th week to a gush of water and called the doctor who sent me to the hospital. They did an ultrasound and found I lost alot of fluid. I remained in the hospital for the weekend and could not get out of bed. I was advised the baby would not make it, but I kept my faith and believed God would get me and my baby through this.

I had to go to the doctor and perinatologist every week after that and unfortunately every night before I would go, my water would leak again. I was advised to terminate, but could not do it. It was in God's hands now.

At 24 weeks, I had brown spotting and was readmitted to the hospital again and then transported to a hospital with a level 3 NICU, where again I was told that labor was probably soon to follow and the chance of survival was not good. They gave me steroids in case the baby came. I did not go into labor or get a fever, so they moved me from labor and delivery to a room in Maturnity where I stayed for 13 days. At about day 11 of my stay, my fluid level rose back up over 10 and I was released home again to bedrest. Nurses came once a week to check on me.

At my visit with the perinatologist at 36 weeks, 5 days my fluid had gone back down again, so the doctor's decided the baby had been through enough and decided it was time to induce labor. The next morning my beautiful, healthy baby girl was born. I am so thankful to this day, that I kept my faith and did not listen when they told me to terminate.
