Story added: 2009-10-29
after having had 4 miscarriges we fell pregnant with liam the pregnancy was full of problems from day one i had alot of bleeding and was a regular at the scanning. at 19 weeks and 4 days i woke to a wet bed and panic! we went to hospital where they tested for fluid to find none (it had all gone) was then sent home (no scan as had one that thurs) on thurs tummy felt very flat and at scan was told waters had broken. doctor called in and was told to termanate as baby was in fetal position (curled up not up to much) and heartbeat was very slow. i decided against as i know what to expect if i miscarried. was not told to rest was put on anibiotics and sent back to work. at 30 weeks baby had not grown any at all and i asked for steroid injects which i got 3 of. at 36 weeks i was induced and had a 4 hour labour. little liam was born at 3pounds and 5oz needing no oxygen and doing very well. he was in special care for 2 weeks and we got him home at 4pound 2oz. he is now 22months and a wee smasher he has been slower to develop walking etc but he survived the odds and to this website i am forever greatful.
