When I was admitted to the hospital on bed rest at 27 weeks I came across this site. It gave me some peace of mind to read others story and gave me hope as we entered a world we knew nothing about. Don't give up hope! If you're on bed rest and the specialist at the hospital tell you that you'll probably get an infection within a few days... like they did to me. Miracles are always waiting to happen. Even though my little guy and I didn't make it quite to 34 weeks we made it to 32!

A half hour before 32 weeks our son was born at 3 pounds 8 ounces. He was just put on oxygen for a few hours to make sure he was getting enough. He ended up without any complications thank god. He was perfectly tiny! I ended up getting pretty sick and was in the ICU for a week and was intabated for three days... was only woken up for the third (yuck). My infection started clearing up and I could finally see my son... hold him... smell him.. it was worth all the wait and the struggles!

Our son only spent 10 days in the NICU... which is really lucky. He's now 3 and a half months old and weighs 13 pounds!

Keep up your faith! And don't read too much on the internet! :)
