PROM at 22 weeks + 6 days. Delivery at 30 weeks + 4 days.
Story added: 2010-09-23
From early on my pregnancy had been a worry 9 weeks bleeding++ they found a haematoma 5cm big monitored that for 4 weeks then it started to decrease and told me not to worry as it was opposite to placenta.
anyway the next few weeks were fine until one night got up for toilet and pjs wet thought it was urine as baby getting bigger so put pad on went back to bed. In the morning the pad was a browny colour so went in for a scan AFI was 7.5 so they said lower side of normal and wasnt my waters maybe from my haematoma
.A week after at routine checkup mentioned i still felt damp particularly at night so they scanned me which showed AFI 3.5 they then confirmed pprom i was told it was highly likely i would go into labour and to expect the worse anyway went onto oral antibiotics had bloods twice a week vag swabs weekly to check for infection felt fine on a off bleeding but very worried, then 18th sept after 20 hours of contractions delivered my little boy born screaming went on cpap for 24hours then straight on room air currently in nicu for size but doing great!!!
